Atmospheric Blow Off Valve Issues

Hi All

just a quickie..........................how many people have removed an atmospheric blow off valve and replaced it with factory item and seen an improvement on idling and stalling problems on a r33 gtst.

as this eems to be a recurring topic, i just wonder how many of us have gone back to factory valve.

i dont really want to remove my ssqv and refit factory unit, but if it solves the problems i may have to consider it

Heaps.....Also has the side effect of less heat from the men in blue.

i would expect every person who did that to see an improvement

its almost guaranteed the car will stall with an atmo bov

i fixed the stalling issues by using both bovs through a T peice vac line.

that way, you get the ssqv sound with the standard one just after it and no stalling issues.

ive switched constantly between my stockie and ssq for my needs=stealth.

i have NEVER experienced idle or stall issues. with the ssq it runs rich between vents, so fuel goes thru the exhaust which my mates say gets me a flame...

other than that ive had no probs with vta bov's

ATMO BOV's and their issues on a AFM equipped car are long discussed on this forum.

There are even links in the FI Guide.

Please search and read the links in the guide and other threads.

Please take the time to read them, it will give you a clean understanding. No need for another BOV thread when we have 100's already
