Driver's Mirror Glass

So i park in the city for 15min on monday, get back to my car and some f**k stole the mirror from inside my driver's side mirror housing.

I can get a replacement glass from Nissan, how difficult is it to fit back in? From what i could see on the housing it just seems to clip into place, am i right?

Or do i need to replace the entire assembly?

Damn i wouldnt think that it is something that could be easily removed, maybe it fell out somewhere ..

either way i would try wreckers b4 tryin nissan..

the glue behind the glass can melt/soften in the heat and simply fall out.

just buy a 2nd hand one and use some decent glue

Around $50 from nissan n a 3 week waiting period. I ended up buying a whole mirror assembly second hand

See first i thought i was hit, but there was no damage to the door, and no broken glass on the road. It couldn't have fallen out as the housing was twisted back toward the nose.

3 week wait eh? and i thought $50 was a decent price, any idea what a wrecker would want?

For the record, They can be sourced from nissan overnight, i ordered it on a thursday and picked it up friday afternoon
