Need Help With Short Shifter

Hi guys..anyone knows how to take out/put in the plastic stud/cap which attached to the bottom of the gearstick where the round bearing like thing is? If you know what I'm talking about...I tried to hit the stud with a hammer and it crush the stud..so that doesn't work..have to get a new stud now..

i dont really see a big point in having short shifters....the stock ones are good enough for shifting if your good enough at shifting.....

i was told that when i was seeking advice in getting one as well...sorry not to let you know in the first post....

yeah they do distroy syncro's

as for the plastic cup. get a new one from repco, r31 is same

When i put myn on i put a bit of grease on the plastic cap and it went in fine with the help of a hammer and a rag. Iv never hade a prob with my nismo short shifter a lot better then the stock shifter that feels like your driving some old holden. My mate has hade one in his s13 for 4years no probs and the car gets a beating.
