Gtr Problem

hi, im new in this forum

i drive a 1990 r32 gtr,something is bothering me pretty bad there is a noise coming from the back of the car(loud humming sound) and it gets louder as i accelerate.i have yet to get it looked at cause ive been pretty busy, i was thinking it could be the driveline:diff.gearbox etc. Has anyone had the same problem?

From the small description sounds like either your diff, or maybe a wheel bearing.

Where are you from? Does 'thomo' mean Thomastown? If so, im not too far away, we could have a look/listen and see if I can help.

Get in the car, turn the key to "ON" but dont start it (so all the lights come up on the dash)

Does the car make the sound now?

could be something stuck in the tyre if it get quickers as the car does

nah, it only makes the sound as im driving. the sound is coming more from the left hand side rear if that helps. hey dan where abouts are ya from.

sounds def like a wheel bearing dude. i'll almost put money on it.

Wheel bearings make an annoying humming sound and it gets louder the faster the wheel spins.

Easy to rebuild but you may need a press machine to get em out. or.......a big fat f**k off hammer and a chisel.
