notice le problemo?? %&@#$!%$#&%!!!!

:P

oh man, u just imported a car and ur worried about a chip that size? man that car must be f**king imac if ur so worried about something like that.

u would have cried if u saw what my car looked like when it came off the boat.

No shit Steven!! GOOD IDEA!! :P You want my car? for two dowlla? It's a crap car now! Imma perfectionist!!

hehe Stewy, nah, I wouldn't cry, but I would prolly suffer from a heart attack...... :P

But yeah, I am not worrying much, just exaggerating things a little hehe :D

shouldn't cost me too much to repair that, oh yer, need to change thrust bearing too, cuz my car is making weird cluck cluck cluck noise whenever I step my foot down the clutch pedal :P

Any idea how much would cost me to get them fixed?

Lovely looking beast - i'm really coming around to the 33 GTR looks in that silver especially - maybe also 'cos everything on the 32 getting old!

If its a standard clutch, change that at the same time if you got any bucks left because it wont last long when your testing out that magical 7k RPM launch >_<

I paid $1100 installed for an Xtreme HD single plate in 05 and it's still clamping as well as ever. I guess thrust bearing would probably be around $3-500 depending where you go - pivot ball snapping a few days before christmas cost me $500 but that's more because of when not what.

I reckon ya can fix that mate, i had a friend with an rs turbo liberty that copped a massive bit taken out of his front bar(being plastic) and the plastic welded it and re painted it and it looks fine.

them 33 gtr bars are worth a dollar!

that sucks .... but it is nothing worse than you will do to it the first time you hit a decent spoon drain or carparking bump when you aren't expecting one. The Chips Away (or similar mobile duco repair mob) - they specialise in that sort of thing. The whole bar doesn't need to be repainted.

i understand what this guy is going through

i was going nuts over a little dent left by the tint professor......there are still scratches and chips on my car that i need to get rid off - i cant stand it not looking perfect

I can understand too. I bought my car in perfect condition with not even a car park ding on it.

Then one day I notice a small chip out of the paint from mrs effing who gives a sh*t's door.

Now it pisses me off everyday haha

    • More photos are up, and the price has been dropped to $16,000. It's just had a service and a new 12V battery, too.
    • I agree on doing some better than factory pistons, rods, and oil pump. For anyone using the vehicle on the road, I don't get why everyone wants big cams. The stock cam profile, with some more lift would be mint for road usage. Everyone going big cams and then wondering why it isn't as responsive in traffic, when they've shifted the torque curve upwards an additional 1000RPM. Make torque, at lower RPM. Sure it's not as cool as claiming "500KW" and revving it to 8,0000RPM, but that same torque 2,000RPM earlier... Then you don't need the extremely high end pistons and rods, and blah blah blah.
    • Personal experience. Those f**kers burn. And are actually a PITA to put out. Next time I walk down the back, I'll snap a photo of what the inside of the bonnet looks like when that thing ignites. PS, powder fire extinguishers are useless on that stuff too as it's fibrous and when it ignites, it starts to pull apart. And you end up just blowing powder through a sieve effectively.   Like the big thing is, if it's fire resistant, it's job is to stop what burning? The METAL above it? It's just to try keep heat off the bonnet paint work.
    • Oh man, sorry, $60.00000000... 😛
    • That's more or less what he meant. What it really means is that you do not have to go full crazy on the build. Don't need the best oil pump, expensive rods & pistons, big cams, etc. You can upgrade whatever you want instead of using stock level items, but you don't have to. Having said that - any time an RB is opened up, if anything is getting replaced, I think the opportunity should be taken to do all the sensible upgrades. Pistons, rods, pump, etc.
