Charles W.
Hi, i picked up a auto RB25 series II motor for cheap. However, it doesnt come with the harness and ECU. To my understanding, the series II doesnt have an ignitor chip and its internally bebuild in in the ECU. What i wonder is If i can use a Series I harness and Series I ECU? It is very hard to find a series 2 ECU, so I wonder if i can use a series I harness and run an external ignitor chip. Any input will be Great. Simon-S14
you can use a series 1 ecu with series 2 motor, same loom, it will run fine. being auto however make it difficult as you will need an auto only ECU Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/203191-rb25-series-ii-ecu-problem/#findComment-3604830 Share on other sites

robots
If I'm not mistaken, igniter chip is inside the coils. So it doesn't matter.
