Search Function Error

Hi,

For some time now whenever I try to use the search function, specifically the 'more search options' the page loads up and then freezes and eventually timesout. I get the hourglass symbol and then the error report. Has been this way for a few weeks. No other problems seem to occur. Just when I use the search function.

Works for me from latest Firefox and IE, so i'd take a stab at

1. Your using IE

2. Its something to do with security settings

You're right that I'm using IE. I've only ever used IE.

RE security settings. I haven't changed anything. I run Symantic Corporate edition AV, Spybot & ad-adware 2007. Recently I have been getting a lot of internet dropouts & Internode (my ISP) want me to change my modem before sending a tech out. I had a virus appear about 1-2 weeks ago but it was picked up by my AV and deleted. I update & run all 3 anti-X programs daily.

As for the error itself the 'More Search Options' page loads up and I can type about 8-10 letters before the hour glass symbol appears and remains until I end the program through Task Manager. It dosen't give me any specific info other than "application not responding". I have left it running for >30 mins with no change. I'm pretty computer illiterate so I realise that I'm not really helping you much. Sorry. But it is frustrating as I use the search function a lot which you, perhaps more than anyone else on SAU, can appreciate.
