I'll try and translate.

"Hey all,

I was recently in the market for an R34 or R32 GTR. I had a run in with the insurance company a lot because I was 19, so I went with the R34. ( :D ) So now I'm curious as to how a MY03 STI would go against the 34 GTR. My mates one is very fast, but I've never been in it. ( )

Cheers"

I still don't know what the second sentence was trying to say. :D

i ran this through babelfish and i got

"gday guys, i was gonna get a 32 or a 34 gtr (massive price difference) but the insurance companies wouldn't touch me with dog sh*t on a stick. I am now considering a My03 STI and wonder how much will it get bent over by a GTR. My mate has an MY03 STI and I think it is very fast but I wouldn't know because of the fact that he is my friend but he never lets me sit in his car because of a restraining order.

Cheers"

good old babelfish aye

Ok let me some this up, before you all start going ahead an do wat you have already done.

Wat i was saying was i am currently overseas, i was going to purchase a r32 gtr at 1 stage but thought it was a little to old so i stepped up to the r34 gtr. Recently i went home from being overseas for 4 months an asked the insurance company how much it would be to insure. (It was through the roof being 19, the "drop out" )

SO i went an had a look at some subarus my03 sti to be precise am became resonably interested because insurance was alot cheaper. SO i was wondering how they actually go?? My mate does own a MY02 sti but i have never been in it because (i got a restraing order slapped on me idiot) i left for overseas work last year in september so i never had the option to see wat it was like..

does that some it up, i was kinda in a rush last time so i cut it short.

"cheer"

A 19 yr old wanting to buy an R34 GTR....????Since when does working at McDonalds pay that sort of cash...?

He owns McDonalds! :laugh::glare:

Get the R34, not much of a fan of subies and if you where to get a STi I get an EVO IX / EVO X. But ehy if ya got the cash for the EVO go R34 GTR, they are getting cheaper in price.

Both are nice cars, STi will be easier to drive faster and won't cost as much to run/insure.

GTR is much easier to modify and are brilliant to drive hard... STi's are brilliant cars still. They have very different power deliveries. Go drive both and see what you prefer.

Dude, if you want to be taken seriously, it's a sad fact that these guys will tear you apart unless you use correct grammar and spelling. It hurts the head to try and read a poorly scrawled request and most people will just poke fun instead. Couple with that the fact that every other day someone is asking if this car will beat this one and "my mate's car does this" and you can understand where they are coming from. If you're not sure, just test drive both and decide after, someone else's opinion may not be your cup of tea anyway so it's best to find these things out for yourself.

my 2 cents.

Well said Zilch.

Cliffo - nearly every week there has been a "vs" thread started.

We are quite sick of it, so I guess this thread was looking like it was heading in that direction.

On topic, Id say drive both and go from there.

Theres most likely only 1 company to insure you, justcars cause of your age. get a quote from them before you buy to see if you really can afford, and justify buying that car.

My personal choice is the 34.

Mind you STi's are still a great car with great performance.
