Do I Need Retune/remap?

Hi guys,

i'm getting a RB25Neo turbo install into my RB20 det (R32gtst) and with the usual mods like...

- pod filter

- 3inch turbo back

- welbro fuel pump

- FMIC

- turbo smart manual boost cont. (13psi)

so, just wondering.. can i run this setup with standard ECU ? (will get it remap soon)

It will "run", but i wouldnt be even attempting to hit boost.

^^^ Simple answer...YES!!!

Drive it around at stock boost till you can get some sort of engine management...

For best results get it tuned, or if you cannot afford a tune straight up keep the boost at now more than 10psi until you do get around to having it tuned.

Just to avoid any damage via detonation (leaning out) and keep it safe.

You should make some good power though, maybe up to around 180rwkw depending on tune and condition of your engine.

If you putter around and dont hit boost as i said, you wont have a problem.

If you do, then its your own risk.

Just did same conversion as you on my ceffy

You do need a tune i was leaning out you can see on the dyno and i needed a bigger fuel pump, yours should be sufficent
