Some Help Please!

hey,

well im having abit of trouble with my head unit.... i have connected it all up and it was working... then it started going on and off constantly.. now it doesnt come back on and my clock has also gone blank!!!! my eboost doesnt work now also!!! i have checked the fuse in the engine and thats fine!! dont know y all of a sudden its just all stopped???

anyone have an idea??

and is there anyone that can have a look over it for me?? of course there would be cash involved!

im just stumped and need some advice/help lol...

check where you have grounded the whole thing... a bad grounding point can sometimes do that kind of thing

Yeah as adz said it does sound like a earthing issue thats the most common cause for people getting those kind of problems

its strange coz it worked with the same earthing and then like 5 mins later it didnt! it stopped while i was driving!!all fuses are good!!! earth has been in the same place for this deck and previous deck....

Have you had a prod around with a multimeter??? also with the fuses did you just check them or have you actually tried replacing them because ive had problems with fuses on my 33 where it looked like they were fine but nothing worked so i replaced it and it fixed my issue

Grab a multi meter and start using the process of elimination but before you do that (apart from checking that you have a good earth), go back over all your wiring and make sure nothing is exposed that could be causing a short either against another wire or metal.

I had similar issues when I built the bike and tried to hide about 200 wires in the frame tubes.....an ignition wire rubbing on metal caused me all sorts of headaches.
