My Mate Done Something Really Bad With His Rb26...

Hey guys, my mate overtightened one of the waterpump screws (think 12mm from memory) going into the block when he was replacing his pump, and he wanted to know if it's going to be ok?.....will it leak???, we tried tapping the bit thats left in block end, and its dead tight....so should it be ok?....im scared if we try to drill it out, we may get bits into his block...

what you guys reckon?

get a stud remover guy to come out and remove the stud thats left in the block

if the pump isnt attached correctly it will be at a big risk and probably leak under pressure

if its leaks unnoticable you can risk the engine as the temps will rise - not worth the risk sorry

And if they are not pulled up straight against the block they could crack.

call thread tech or some spelling like that. its 90 bux as soon as they arrive. i got 2 pulled out but i rekn theyd do 5 before the price went up. so itl be 90 bux for your 1 bolt to be puled out
