so i decided to see what the fuss was about and block off my bov today...

(the car already has a pod in a cold air box and the factory intake piping)

5 mins and 1/2 a coke can later i was off down the street doseing "full hektic sick bro" ZOMG!

tsut tsut sutututututututu... and so on...

the conclusion:

it was the most annoying drive ever and it made absolutely NO difference to the car's performance under ANY conditions (with the one exception of it nearly stalling twice)

how people put up with that noise every time you lift you foot i simply do not get... not to mention the looks from passers by!

anyway the car is now de-dose-afyed an i am happy again

If you're serious, you only need an empty coke can, or even solo, up to you, cut the top and bottom out, roll it out so that it's like a sheet of aluminium, take out the gasket of the standard bov, trace with a texta, cut away. Install everything back to normal, but have the can thing blocking.
