F#*king Idle!

I blew my motor up and the car didnt start for like 18 months, i put another motor in it, and ever since ive had a problem with the idle and its really starting to piss me off. At first it was idling up around 2. I took it to a workshop and they fixed all that up, but now it will randomly just stall or idle on like 450rpm. Took it back again and the idle stepper motor was replaced and all was sweet. then i started it later tonight and the piece of shit started goin stupid again, then just as quickly i turn it off and back on and its fine. Its so random with when it does it, anyone else had a problem like this by any chance?????

try another air flow meter.

they cause intermittent problems sometimes.

yeah get your AFM checked out as well as the air/pod filter.

My has never stalled on me (I've had it 4 a year now)

up until when I mucked around with the AFM

Do an engine diagnostic search, clean your throttle body. I think there are 2 idle motors, clean the one that wasn't replaced. Check and reset TPS. Most likely one of those.
