CAD stuff is easy. Hard part is finding a CNC shop to do them at a reasonable price. Any ideas?

try e-machine shop. very good. if you have the cad file they can quote for you.

BTW that stillen site does have the AP CP555 kit with 343mm strap drive rotors but it's $3,600 USD + freight so fairly pricey. could probably match that locally and get 355mm rotors instead of the 343mm ones. and also given that they just say "large 2 piece rotors" I would agree with troy that they are not genuine AP rotors as otherwise they would say so.

started driving on these today :P

seem more touchy on the pedal, also the rust was wiped off the rear before the front so will need to get the bias tested.

will need more time behind the wheel to see if the touchy brakes need to be addressed or just me adjusting to it. (could be attributed to the above)

havent had any seat time unfortunately, i now have to organise to get her re registered so i can get over to test the bias

will update once something happens.

i am learning to use inventor so i can hopefully draw up a 3D model to get the adapters milled out of billet.

also what size are the factory evo rotors? and what thickness?

oh yeh im using an r34 gtr master cylinder too :)

Stock fronts are 320x32 from memory

For anyone who has done this conversion, how did you go with brake lines? Did you have to get custom ones made up? I dont think I have seen any mention of it in this thread

i used 355 x 32mm front and rear. rears require an alloy hat that as far as i know only available from Specialised brake and clutch in penrith NSW - thinner rear disc could be used, but 355 x 32 is a common size therefore should be cheaper to replace when required.

fronts just needed a spacer bracket, rears needed the caliper spaced out to fit over the 32mm rotor along with the mounting brackets.

custom lines all around

car drove fine, but without the bias test or a track day its hard to tell how the bias is going.

Thread revival. Anyone have any updates? I'm seriously considering this as I'm going to the US for a few weeks so could pick up a pair of front Brembo's really cheaply.

I'm thinking this might be the ticket for an upgrade on my GTR to 350mm evo 10 discs up front with the Evo 6-9 calipers. (ala Alpha Omega site - like the fact that their adapter plates are made from 7075 stainless).

I'm trying to find a machine shop to get some custom brackets made up, I have a set of 370z DBA 5000 discs and 6 piston AP calipers

this is the closest thread I've found to what I'm after, if someone could point me in the direction of somewhere I could get this done would be appreciated

also an idea of what measurements I need to take or a design program I could use would be great, I like to do as much as I can myself so I know/can learn what's going on

Have a chat to Risking (Brad) who has posted earlier in this thread, he can help you out.

Pictures and update ^_^ , I want to assess if this is more cost effective than buying a kit.

First of all, I'm at work and on break so I don't have time to read every post in this thread.

Second of all, I'm currently in the middle of upgrading my brakes to 4 pot wilwoods with 4x1.75" pistons and running a 325mm rotor. My old man has just finished mounting these exact calipers to an rx4 and is adapting the mount to suit my GTS-4 (I believe the knuckles are the same as a GTR?)

Can definitely make up more with some EOI beforehand.
