Ok, so my gearbox sounds a little whiny. I was thinking about replacing it, but wasn't sure if there were any differences on the bellhousing between push and pull type clutches. If there are any differences, is it as simple as just swapping over the bellhousing from one box to the other?

I am more than prepared to be told that this is a stupid question.

yes there are differences in the bellhousings.

If you have the pull type 32 box and you want to run the push type 33 box, by far the easiest is to swap to a pull type clutch.

You do have the option of converting the 33 (push) box to pull using your 32 box parts. You need the fork and front plate from the 32 box which you bolt onto the 33 box, also need a new gasket probably. THe 33 bellhousing already has the push type slave cylinder mounting points cast in, you need to drill and tap them for the pull type master cylinder.

But seriously.....just change the clutch :(

its real easy to swap the bellhousings, im not a fan of the drill and tap technique... if you get stuck i have a few of both type behousings and am willing to swap for the one you need, but really there should be no eason to use your original one on the new box.
