nah gotta get rid of the S14 and the ceffy, spend some of that money on paint for the R32 and do some work on the golf.

That said, if I find a genuine autech kit, I'll happily convert the cef to manual and keep drivin it till the wheels fall off. Shit I might just put the S14 engine and suspension on the ceffy n get rid of the S14 shell cheap.

spotted a s1.5/s2 sliver/champagne ceffy at cherry auto electricians in dandenong 2day, and guess what was wrong with it....its CAS

as i left cherry my car started to idle at 2k, must be like a ceffy flu pandemic out now

lmao. that gold one's owned by this curry dude as well. He lives on the other side of stud road I think. Endeavour Hills.

wonder if it's the same gold one that crashed on the GOR ages ago?

let me know if Cherry fixes it. I was thinkin of takin it to Kamikaze to get it checked out, but Cherry I could drop it off and walk home.

yea so tru about the work home, well i had a chat to the boss guy and he said you cant get rb20 CAS brand new so he was gonna try a new rb30 CAS.

go by and have a chat at cherry as that ceffy should be fixed by now. have used him b4 on the ke70 when he installed a relay on my starter and he also set my ign timing for free when i was having trouble

a ceffy crashed at GOR ? lucky he didnt go off the cliff :P

i got a replacement CAS out of a ceffy wreck and changed my old one out, but I think the timing is wrong on the new one. will go have a chat.

if you se eme jump out and push the ceffy to his shop don't laugh kent.

    • I don’t really have any ideas how to set the timing on the CAS 😂, sounds like the top, sounds like it maybe misfiring as well as ticking,  got the box sorted 😌, must of been a air bubble on the clutch side
    • Use a 2' length of hose (that's 2 foot, not 2 inches) as a stethoscope to localise the source of the ticking. From cam covers? From exhaust or turbo manifold gasket? From injectors? From lower down in the engine? Etc. Use a timing light to set the timing. Put Redline Lightweight Shockproof in the box. It's not the very best thing for the box, but it will take a box that refuses to engage a gear with other oil, and make it engage a gear. I had to put it in when I installed the R33 box I have in my car. It would not select ANY gear when running. Smurf jizz made it work. That was >10 years ago and I still use it. I'm stuck with it now. Failing that - rebuild the box.
    • Well done Duncan. The fuel tank bulkhead lid is also in great condition (some of mine were stuffed). These are now out of production and good ones like that are becoming hard to come by.
    • Wow that's a steal, you've done well there.
