Hi guys,

Im moving to new residents with no garage(only street parking) Was keen to find a detachable steering wheel for my GTT , anyone have one? + could recommend where to buy from??any help would be great.

I dont even like leaving the R31 on the street - too many tools who dont care about anyone elses cars etc

There is no chance that it would come off unless you were pulling on it with some sort of cyborg hydraulic assisted metal arms. You'd probably bend your steering wheel before the QR gave way! lol

Yeah you can get any steering wheel and a quick release hub, works just like a aftermarket boss kit which is removable.

Good idea, id also suggest window tints by solar which are actually resistant to heavy impact and will take 1-2 mins to break through .. By this time your alarm is waking u up.

No you cant unfortunately. You need an aftermarket wheel. The QR sits between your wheel and the boss kit.

True i fit one for about a day it makes the wheel too close for me.

yeah you get used to it pretty quickly though. I've got long fingers so reaching the indicator stalk isnt too much of an issue.

I actually looked at Just Jap on Saturday for one. They seem like a pretty good idea apparently arent too hard to fit.

For $100 its a pretty good investment. But yes, as BLK180 said it will stick out further. I'd say somewhere around 5 cms or just a touch over closer to you.

Hmmm handy... I was thinking about QR just the other day... I have a steering wheel, boss kit, and the tools required to swap them ready to go
