What Cause Fuel To Lean Out?

Hi guys,

my 32 line getting to lean on boost ... i'm thinking aboput my fuel pump or any idea?

I've got Walbro 255/hour intank fuel pump in my 32 line gtst.. talked to my mechanic about this pump, he said the pump need full 12volts for it to work 100% but when u are install it in the car, u just supply the with only 9volts from the ecu .. is this true?

so, if i'm gonna run +ve wire from the batt to the pump directly (with a relay) and using the ignition signal from the stock position.. what u reckon?

or getting any other intank fule pump that work better like Nismo?

To get the full voltage you need to hook and earth from the pump to the chassis. Having said that i would also fit a bosch 040 pump, they are only $200, and heaps better than the walbro's for a turbo car.

Also get your fpr checked, it could be the cause of the lean out problem [should still rewire your pump ^^^as well].

Before doing anything, check your f.system is actually dropping pressure first using a gauge. Attributing a lean condition to simply fuel pump is prolly a little premature.
