When i saw cats car, i knew it was packing 300kw+ when i saw it on dyno and when i saw it on track, to me it looked like it had issues of too much traction at calder etc, but when cat got it rolling this thing was unbelievable, picks up good speed while torching the tyres, very good exit speeds.

also acsplit: cats car wasnt tuned on the street :D

Really thanks for that do you want to try and suck trents cock anymore?

I think he is old enough to stick up for himself

nearly there, just a whole lot of oil line tidying and minor medial shite, any one need any oil coolers? got 2 250mm x 300mm cores i could not fit with the new setup $50ea. the fit perfectly were the ac condensor used to be. or can be used as singles quite easy.

decided to run smaller ones as it was easier and im running out of time.

how much do these turbos cost? are the t3 flanged?

alot  They are t3 flanged and cost around 298000 yen or around $3150.... but wen you find out what is behind making a BLITZ turbo you can appreciate the costs involved.

The compressor wheels are not KKK and are fitted by BLITZ R&D and the housings are heavily modified from KKK original specs. It is something that is designed and researched in house and after using a few im quite impressed by how good they actually are.

Originally i used the BLITZ turbo's on my 180 i was unhappy with the HKS 3037s (killer but too big for the application back then) and had replaced it with a hks 2835 (0.61 52t) and the guys at blitz said if i dont match the horsepower and better the resonse of the 2835 they would refund the purchase.... needless to say i did it and lost the bet... they were right. :)

how would you rate the T67 VS GT35R .63 both similar exhaust and wheel sizes..

well the T67 with the 8cm kills it down low and makes top end similar to the bigger garret .8 (within 10rwkw) at the same boost, we will change JT's rear housing to a 10cm and do a direct comparo to the .8 as housings are almost identical.... im guessing still better response and top end is unknown... i would hate to speculate. i will post the graph of the 8cm vs the .8 soon as he send it to me... asked him again 5mins ago

i nearly ordered a 10cm T67 kit for the 26 instead of the K5....

Dont be too quick to get rid of the GT35 they are a great value for money turbo. The cost of changing over is quite a lot, it is only really worth doing it from the start... you will need different manifold etc....

any more info on just what goes into a KKK turbo? they are so low-key, very few people use them, but then when i look around at the cars that do use em.... nomuken's drift car, Orido's personal supra... these are people that live on modified cars and they choose to go for KKK over HKS or other, makes me wonder whats the deal with KKK turbos. educate me!

oh and more detials on the fairlane. have you got something special in/for it, or is it seriously just a shitbox?

Edited by VB-

na im sure the K5 will be an animal to say the least..

I am/was actually thinking of selling my 35R and putting a T67 on. But i need cams and a twin plate to even see the potential of the package.

unfortunately they are expensive $3ish k and in todays world of chinese shit and garret over hype tend never to get a second look, if i had not been offered such a killer deal on it i would never have been able to afford it either, The BLITZ turbos are very unique and use Turbonetics compressors and special front covers based on K27 housings... luckily the rear housings are the same as K27 3 series otherwise they would be even dearer than the KKK $1000 asking price

i currently have a #9 and a #7 housing to test.

we will see what happens next week, a day at calder to tune it then a few runs on the dyno to play with a few things.

    • Yeah kids certainly add a whole another dimension to your life.  Life ceases to be about you and more about them for a while!  And I wouldn't have it any other way.  I love watching them play sport and make new friends along the way. Wow, sounds like your mate is a good guy to know!!!  He's got some serious toys in the toy box!  Yes it would be lovely to be able to do stuff to your car without getting all tied up in boring shit like how to pay for it!!  I would describe my spending style as "aggressively spontaneous and logical but regrettable purchasing"....  That will hopefully make no sense at all which would be appropriate given that is how I buy stuff.  I'll decide at the drop of a hat that I'm buying something expensive, research the living shit out of it for 2 days straight then go out and buy it.  Then I'll have instant buyers remorse for 2 days which generally passes by the time it turns up on the front step!  If I'm feeling ballsy sometimes I'll tell my wife.  Other times it just makes its way silently passed the house and out the back to the shed, never to be spoken of again...
    • My extinguisher mounted like this unscrewed a little (Maybe from the chair sliding forward) and dumped a bit of white on my mats. I'll need to get a more narrow one for future.
    • I totally couldn't do the whole kids taking up my life thing! 😮 I find it bad enough doing 45 hours in 4 days, and then fitting normal adulting life into the other 3 with no kids! As for my mates race cars, they're AMG C63 setup for production racing. The original is what has just been stripped and a brand new shell built. The original is then going away to have some panels straightened, then it will be put back together again. Then there's a third that will shortly head off to have a roll cage put in, then build it up too. And potentially a fourth to be built too... Oh, and he has two Renault Clio D class production cars, ha ha. And when he's not racing them in the Australians and QLD production championships, he's been racing one of Chaz Mostert's Lamborghini's in GT4. They just won GT4 at the 12 hour in the Lambo. We're pushing to finish the new AMG as it has its first round (and potentially its first shakedown/outing) in under w weeks for Round one of QPC, and that round is really the shakedown to make sure it's all good for the Bathurst 6 hour, which I'll be at too. Ha ha ha Working on my project is different to his, I slowly tinker and work ways to make things happen on a shoe string budget. Hes in a good position that he has a massive workshop full of parts and tools, ha ha. He also looks after me. When his air compressor died, he just needed it working, so bought himself a new one and gave the old to me. Sand blaster unit too, and a 20t pressing. And pretty much all the shelving in my shed too as he upgraded all of his (the stuff he gave me is the expensive black Bunnings heavy duty stuff)!   I enjoy working on his stuff. No decision paralysis, and anything that's needed parts wise is just there. Plus, then I get to be hands on at the track in real racing, not just club day stuff.
    • I know which one I'd prefer to have in my garage, and which one I'd actually drive as intended
    • Yeah mate, no probs. Just swap the email addresses?
