Guys,

Took my car to a workshop (As my 4WD and ABS light are always on) and got Nissan diag results which came with three error codes. Following are the error codes. Could not find any details for these error codes on this forums. Mech say Front right and rear right ABS sensors are fault not the G-Sensor :)

***Can you please tell me what error code 29 means?

***What is this 2A and 2D?

***What are those other numbers stand for (2, 1-2)?

This is how it shows on the diag ticket.

Code1 -

29 FR & RR G-SENSOR

.......2

Code2 -

2A FR & RR G-SENSOR

.......1-2

Code3 -

2D SIDE G-SENSOR

My car is 1994 GTS4 RB25DE NON-TURBO

the g sensors are in your centre console right behind the handbrake, 4 screws to take the centre console trim off.

once you are there, 2 obviosu things to check - 1 are the 2 plugs still plugged in properly, and 2 is the window on the front showing red instead of white (red means dead).

Thanks mate, will check it tomorrow, what is this error code 29 stand for? I really wanna know what the meaning of it.

Checked the G sensor, well all the connections are loos ok, and there is kind of a little tube thingy in the side of the sensor which is white. Its no LED or anything, but whatever it is its white, and there nothing in front of the sensor as you mentioned.

Please help.....

mmmmmmmmmmmm this is so annoying,, tried ful day googling for the meaning of these error codes without luck. Please anybody helppppppppppppppppppp..........................

hmm ok if the tube is white not red the sensor is probably is OK.

what do you mean the connections are loose? they should be plugged in tightly. do you have a multmeter? next thing to check would be power to those plugs, you should have 8v power between the White/Blue wire and the Orange/Black wire, and the same 8v between White/Blue and a good earth.

It wierd because the 3 errors say your g-sensors are not working at all.

To clarify your question about the error codes, I've never used consult because the ATTESSA computer in the boot will flash a number of times to show the error - but there are 3 g sensors (2 longitudinal and 1 lateral), and all 3 of yours are not working apparently.

Sorry I meant to say the connections are looks ok, anyway ill check it with multimetre, so this is definitely G-sebsor prob I guess.

wired things is the ATTESA computer in the boot doesnt have any led to flash, I can see there is a marking for led or bulb but its not there, no hole nothing, just a red circle thingy. some time agao once this tech checked the error codes form dash board by reading engine symbol flashing.

So im guessing this all three G sensors are in one little box (next to hand brake) that I checked rite?

Funny thing is when I asked from the tech why its say G-sensor error, he said, dont worry about it, its abs sensor for sure...........

ooooooooooh :P he is confusing me

Just for chelup I rang lander nissan to get prices for ABS sensors....ohhhhhhhh its $400 +GST for one front sensor and $380 +GST for both rear sensors (As rear one come as set of two)...............Didint even askd about the G sensor cuz im sure it will cost like $1000 or more heheheh

Ok if im getting these parts from a wrecker (which is imposible to find R33 GTS4) whci parts will suit my car

Is it R33 GTST or R32 GTR or R33 GTR? cuz I know, its 99.99% hard to find R33 GTS4 in a wreck yard....

Ill try to find r32 gtr manual and give it ago....

Thanks for your help mate.........looking forward to get more :D

well g sensor errors mean

g sensor is stuffed

attessa ecu is stuffed (under rear parcel shelf)

or the wiring or plugs between the 2 are stuffed.

Yes ABS sensor is a common problem, but if that's not the code you are getting.....

Check the voltage and earth - bad earth is a common reason for attessa problems.

Forgot to mention one thing (Damn...) I have a ETS fitted to the car and I dont think it never worked properly anyway. now theres a big loom going from ETS directly to ECU under the rear parcel shelf, maybe it might be faulty? I dont mind getting rid of it, but dont know how. cuz you have to put those wires correctly after removing ETS....

I just unplug the wire which is fitted to Battery from that loom and both 4WD and ABS lights came on....whcih means this stupid ETS affect this directly......

Took the car to unique, and got ETS removed, now 4WD and AbS are always on.......they out it thru diag and told me that sloenoide in ABS unit short circuited...... :P

Ohhhhhhhh so does this mean I have to replace the whole ABS unit?....

ahh I see the plot thickens. ABS unit can be expensive but I haven't often heard of them dying. DId the ETS you had replace the original attessa computer altogether or was it a plug in?

Mmmmmm Ets has this long harnes running all the way to the boot, in to the ECU connected by five or six cables, So im really not sure what the answer for your question hehe :P

But now im scared that did they replace the cables to the original state in the ECU correctly cuz before 4wd light and abs light came uo time ti time, but very frequently.now its allway up, as soo as you start the car :D

this is really a pickle now hehe lol. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT THE ELECTRICAL SIDE, im a noob....

Thanks for the PM mate, will give you a call on Sat.
