it doesnt have a siren, its just a crappy immoboliser. Press the button, it turns the immoboliser off and opens the doors. Press it again, and it locks the doors and turns it on. Wait til it times out and press it, and something in the drivers door clicks, like a lock or something, and the immoboliser is turned off. Might get my auto elec friend to have a look at it, I cant find it anywhere!

I've found the immoboliser, it was behind the kickpanel. And I have pulled it out, and now I need to wire it up. Which ones to I wire it up to? One says boot release, would it be that one? And would I ground it to the car, or the immoboliser? Relax, I make a better mechanic than electrition :). Be a bad English Teacher as well...

Haha, yeh, your right about the ideas!! If I knew what I was doing, it would be a 20min job! Altho I keep hitting obsticals that make it alot harder. Why? Cos I can!! And it will be easier to just press a button and your boot opens.

boot release wire is the correct one. that drops a -ve when the second button is held. wire the relay in this fashion

85- boot release wire.

86- +12

87- +12 via a 15A fuse

30 - to actuator. (earth other side of actuator to the body.)

done.

Yeh, thanks for all your help Chris. I havent had chance to get the relay just yet, but hopefully I'll get it during the week and have it up and running by next weekend. Then I'll do a DIY so that people don't have to keep bugging you like me...

And the boot release cost me $15 from the wreckers
