I doubt you will find anything in that price range which is already in Australia unless it's an absolute pile of junk ... you can import something for around that price but you have to be actively looking and fairly lucky to get something really good for such a low price, but it is possible if you are serious about buying - keep in mind it would take around 8-12 weeks give or take to get a car landed and complied ready for rego.

Obviously a higher budget would be better, usually a good R33 turbo coupe with 5 speed will sell for closer to $11,000 landed and complied ... either way please let us know if you are interested in using our service to try and find something suitable.

But be careful, and don't forget to look "under" the car there... found out they import alot from the Asuka area where it snows and alot of the liners i looked at there had quite abit of rust showing, and some had a fair bit of underbody "repair" work... I'm not saying... i'm just saying...

yeah man your going to be very lucky to find a 'good' one for that kinda money. your best bet would be look around over here and find someone who bought one and can't afford the insurance or financed it and can't pay it back cause they'll be looking to get rid of it quick to cover expenses

There are plenty for private sale around the $10K mark. I'm sure you wont have to look too far. You are never going to find one at that price from an importer/yard though.

    • Excuse me for butting in....but which part of ADHD can be considered a superpower? I would have though it far more likely that some ASD comorbidity is more likely to be contributing to an ability to hyperfocus on something. ADHD being aimed somewhat in the other direction. My shed looks like your shed. My whiteboard list of unfinished projects has entries going back 15 years. I know what you're talking about - I just struggle to connect ADHD to the results being discussed.
    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
    • I've been quietly following this thread for ages, but this one got me. Since my ADHD diagnosis (and associated learnings and prescription) I'm way less inclined to wade into forum yarns when there are better things to do with my time, as half the time I'd end up in some kind of forum debate even if that wasn't my intention. I've not lost the ADHD "superpowers", just am a lot better at directing my hyperfocus into slightly more constructive things, but haven't stopped quietly lurking in here in my spare time.
    • Stripped the tank down and gave it a good scrub. It came up really good! Not sure if I'll just put it back in like that or give it a blackening treatment (such as Bowdens The Black Box). That might give it a matte look so might just run it as is.
    • @MBS206 Ha ha, yeah ADHD is a daily battle to not get drawn in to doing things you want to do that you know you shouldn't do!  Every single time I walk into my shed I end up doing something I started the day having zero intention of doing! I keep mentioning the 1 step forward, 3 steps back scenario and I'm tipping people that are blessed with ADHD (yes, blessed) are the worst at that!
