Cheers,

I asked the guy before they put it in and said it was good for over 300kw and my car is making 293kw ??? thanks for that

Yeah but for how long?

My car has one of those clutches. It's pretty much garbage compared to a decent twin plate.

Also what RPM should you launch an r33 gtr at to be on the safe side???

"Safe side" (assuming you mean from the mechanical sympathy point of view) and 10s 1/4 times are contradiction in terms. With the power you have a 10s is possible only with good tyres and a very hard launch.

I need to launch at ~6k to prevent bogging down, but this obviously takes it's toll on the drivetrain over time. Clutch failure is the most obvious liklihood, but gearbox failures also aren't unknown (particularly with a hard change into 3rd).

I didnt think 300rwkw was enough to do a 10 in an r33?

Same here....

the hardware sounds up to it but it seems as if you need a better tune to free up some power, or maybe the 293kw run was done at 12psi or so :P

well you lose more power with the all wheel drive and the gts-t is lighter but its no good if you dont get the power to the ground. but im not going to say anything because i dont know for sure. Thats why i asked, i would like to know. theres not alot of GTR where i live.

ok sorry about being a little short, but there have been a lot of stupid questions lately, and sometimes innocent ones get put in the same basket.

awkws are better, because if you disengaged the fronts on a R32 GTR with 300awkw you'd end up with 320rwkw - 330rwkw.

BUT you'd also lose 35% of your traction.

You have the hardware, simply get someone that can tune and crank her up to 350awkw and run some 10's :P

If it helps, with 280kw @ all four, I run a 11.8 @ 117mph in my R33 GTR.

I've now got 318kw @ all four and am running next Wednesday. I'll let you know how I go, I reckon 11.5-11.6 :D

I reckon you'll need 350kw @ all four to run a 10 in a R33 GTR... minimum :P

What boost are you running?
