R32 Gtr Boost Problem!

hey guys, im hoping someone here has an answer for me.

I hav recently bought a r32 gtr, 92 model. The car has been running 0.5 Bar (on a blitz guage), and i recently came across a thread about removing the boost restrictor just before the solenoid, so i did so. However after removing the restrictor, boost has still not risen above 0.5 Bar, is there something i am missing? or does these mean my solenoid may be dead.. ???

the boost restrictor is found within one of the vacumn lines going into the factory boost solenoid

it is a black hose that has a white band or ring painted around the section which contains the brass ring, which is the restrictor

replace this hose with another new one (fuel hose)

why replace the whole hose though? if it just has that one restrictor in it? i hav now fitted a boost tee (manual boost controller) and am currently experimenting..
