one of my mates had no BOV on his skyline and it stalled all the time. stuck a BOV on it and it runs nice and sweet.

I'll bet it was using the factory hotwire AFM load-sensing too.

Running too rich. Were the R31's AFM equipped? If not, maybe that's why you never had issues

my old man's ceffy runs an RB20DET and an AFM with no BOV from factory, and its worked fine for the last 16 years.

I liked that magazine Speed that was around a while ago... wish something like that was available as an alternative..

This article made me giggle! They were so in depth too, when I wanted to get my car dosing like donkey I just chopped up a coke can with scissors, much cheaper and quicker.

I run a HKS SSQ bov and have never had any stalling problems or issues, it came on the cut i used to convert to det so i used it. HPI and hot4's are ran by the same company i thought?
