I'm on the look out to upgrade my rear lights...

I'm not sure whether these are the ones I want or not??

Just wondering if anyone has some pics of them on their own rides, or if there are any other options I should be looking out for..

Cheers!

I think those will look like stupid rice!!!!

My mate has a black 34 with LED tail lights, but they look almost factory during the day (not that chrome shite) but stunning at night.

I want to find some for my 33, but only if they look stock(ish) during the day.

Are those Nengun lights compatible with my ER34 taxi??

Most of them seem to be for GTR's or 2-doors only...

How are the taxi ones different???

they dont do 4doors, only gtr/2door gtts.

4door rear lights use a a similar style to the 33 (where the indicator sits under the actual lights)

heres a pic of the nismo rear lights.....sexiest shit ive seen....but at 1000.....its hard to actually do it.

So, if the 2 door ones don't have the indicators where the 4 door has them, it is possible to retro-fit 2 door ones on a 4 door... Can the indicators be relocated...

Or, does anyone make aftermarket R34 taxi rear lights??

im going to get the crystal led ones. Just makes the rear appear alot more modern. We must remember, with owning the 34 they are very boxy from the rear, and i think the led glow breaks it up abit.

I have never seen any made for the 4 door though... should have got a 2 door :P

Those ones look alright, they look as if they've got an inbuilt indicator bit....

Here's a set for the 4 door. Seems like it'll cost quite a bit.... also I don't know if this is genuine or homemade.

Ok, here is a bit of a question...

I was considering a GTR conversion for the front, fenders, bonnet, front bar ect ect...

I was going to get an aftermarket GTR rear bar as well... Could I do that and install the aftermarket LED lights with an aftermarket rear bar that has room for the indicators next to the rear numberplates...

Seriously, stock tail lights for all R31, R32, R33 and R34 look tough as... why change it to some thing that's ricey and piss weak like LED lights... yuk... that's just me though....

I'll agree the rear tail lights are deffinately tough. the LED's can make it look much better tho. But that GT-R does look pretty gay with them. dunno, guess its the whole theme ur running with, whether or not u can pull it off i guess

Yeah..

I'm still trying to work out whether if I go to a GTR, or a 2 door rear bar, if I can then install these aftermarket lights...

I think that witht he longer wheelbase, I don't think these other rear bars will fit..

Here is a question for those who might know...

Is it the actual light that do not fit, or that with aftermarket LED lights, indicators cannot be accomodated at the rear of the car???

    • I really don't understand the point of aftermarket oil pumps if your particular engine doesn't need more oil pressure. As far as I can make sense of it the problem seems to be cavitation from sucking air, maybe the pump gear design with how it interfaces with the OEM crank, and maybe the backing plate screws wanting to loosen themselves. How does flowing more oil fix these issues?
    • More photos are up, and the price has been dropped to $16,000. It's just had a service and a new 12V battery, too.
    • I agree on doing some better than factory pistons, rods, and oil pump. For anyone using the vehicle on the road, I don't get why everyone wants big cams. The stock cam profile, with some more lift would be mint for road usage. Everyone going big cams and then wondering why it isn't as responsive in traffic, when they've shifted the torque curve upwards an additional 1000RPM. Make torque, at lower RPM. Sure it's not as cool as claiming "500KW" and revving it to 8,0000RPM, but that same torque 2,000RPM earlier... Then you don't need the extremely high end pistons and rods, and blah blah blah.
    • Personal experience. Those f**kers burn. And are actually a PITA to put out. Next time I walk down the back, I'll snap a photo of what the inside of the bonnet looks like when that thing ignites. PS, powder fire extinguishers are useless on that stuff too as it's fibrous and when it ignites, it starts to pull apart. And you end up just blowing powder through a sieve effectively.   Like the big thing is, if it's fire resistant, it's job is to stop what burning? The METAL above it? It's just to try keep heat off the bonnet paint work.
