So i have everything coming soon for this conv.

I know you need to use one section of the 33 tail shaft and one section of the 32 shaft which i have both full shafts, i have the pedal box, slave, master cylinders as well as a few other things.

Now one is a push type clutch (33) and one is a pull type clutch...from what iv read i can either swap the bellhousings to keep my clutch i have in there....OR.....i can retap the 33 bellhousing for the 32 slave to keep my cltuch.

Is this all rite? Anything else anyone recommends?'

i know about the navara speedo cable trick and i intend to do this when i change it all over but that isa bit away and i plan to get the box in first.

Cheers, David

swap housings instead of tapping it. most gtst boxes are push... GTT (34) boxes are pull.. good luck getting one of those for the right price though  i still apply pain cream to my ass from when i bought cats (v low mileage front cut though<20k ).

Not really. You only need the yoke and front uni off the r33 shaft. The rest is useless to you

You don't need the 33 pedal box (i don't even know if it would fit in a 32). The 32 one is fine.

You don't need a 33 master cylinder, 32 one is fine. You need the 33 slave. The 32 line fit's it.

Is your 32 an auto? sounds like you have gone off an auto-manual conversion guide rather than a manual to manual.

If it's a 33 box then it'll be a push type. Your existing clutch will fit no problem as the 32 is a push type as well. 32 bell housing won't fit a 33 (or 34) box.

It's a half hour job to get the r33 cog on the navara drive. You may as well do it straight away as the lack of a speed signal messes with a few things in the r32.

I found that when i tried to mix and match tail shaft components, it couldnt be done. I just went and got a custom tail shaft made up. I also had to modify the gearbox cross member so that the standard holes in the body of the 32 could accommodate the 33 gearbox. Im using all standard r32 equipment, just with an r33 box. I didnt know about the slave cylinder thing; why doesnt the r32 one work with the 33 box?

Do the speedo conversion now, otherwise you wont get a speed signal and you'll lose your power steering. I just had to take my gearbox out because it got stuck in reverse. It ended up being the nylon gear on the end of the speedo drive falling off and lodging somewhere in the gearbox. Im not sure how that happened, so make sure you do it right.

Custom 2-piece tailshaft, solid heavy duty uni's, new centre bearing, new slipyoke - $700 ;)

Modified Xmember, Navara speedo sender, new speedo cable, 33 gtst slave cylinder.

Putting it all in tomorrow along with my 280k speedo :P

Because the rb20 has a different bolt pattern to the r33 box. It wont bolt on

I was lucky enough to buy the whole lot someone had fitted to a 32 - gearbox, slave, custom 1 piece alloy tailshaft, modified speedo drive, and the custom gearbox mount.

Oh, ok. Maybe i did get the r33 slave cylinder then.

Yeah, i got a custom 2 piece tail shaft that would easily handle my targeted power for $650 or $700.

Conversion was successful today, took many hours a bit of swearing, welding, tapping, grunting. Most annoying part was that the rear section of my tailshaft was 17mm too short!! wtf?! will be taking that back to be rectified during the week.

280kmh dash is sweet and my guesstimations for 3.9 diff + 17T Navara cog were correct, speedo reads high by 10kmh :(
