Anyone know of where to get a premade electronic thermo fan kit?? need it for R33 GTST RB25, im sick of replacing stupid clutch fans coz they crap themselves!!!

Hi mate,

I did the conversion on my r34, ive replaced my clutch fan with twin 12inch thermos, theres no kit on the market for the skylines your going to have to mix and match, i used AU twin thermos in mine then you have to cut the shroud to fit because i wanted twin 12inch thermos is a extremely tight fit and alot of messing around. Then you have to wire up a thermo switch which is also a bit of mucking around. I'm not going to say to do it unless you have a lot of time, and have a decent a mount of mechanical skills or have a lot of money to let a mechanic to do it cause there is A LOT of labor involved. But my system never sees half way even on a hot day with the a/c on full. Hope this helps a little.

 Good luck.

What do you mean by "they crap themselves"? You would need to be very unfortunate to keep replacing a crap fan with an equally crap fan. What makes you say all your fans had crapped themselves?

haha R33 clutch fans are god. Use them on all the crazy SR's we build.

if you must go the thermo route like i did for room issues on the 26 conversion use Flex-A-lite part number 220

perfect bolt on size for skyline radiator.

Hay can someone explain how the clutch fan is attached to the engine and what makes it spin, and also how it would stop working.

Does the clutch just seeze up or just ends up spinning freely ..

either they sieze up or start spinning with the revs of the car, or the blades snap off (had that happen once). Plus the stupid intercooler kit i got made me cut the inside edge off each blade so it didnt hit (that was the one that snapped) ive relocated the piping and spaced it so nothing hits anymore (or even comes close).
