Dont know how long your going to keep it legal Sam based on your recent experiences :D Pulling the interior out is hard corey...go for it

Things that should go...

A/C...if you have it

passenger seat

centre console

stereo and speakers

doors if you can afford fibre glass

Substitute perspex for the glass

fibreglass hood, boot lid and guards. Be careful though, if you can get GT-R guards and hood they might be lighter than the FG gear

Get a fixed drivers seat...recliners are heavy(ier)

Titanium exhaust FTW $$$$$$

cheers, i already took out the stereo and speakers, it has the gtr bonnet wich i have been told is lighter than the stock one,

i will be changing my seats after it is re registered as a two seater, i wanna get rid off the aircon as i dont use it, has anyone else pulled out there aircon? does it need a different belt or pulley, is it much work to get rid of a/c?

pretty sure the aircon runs its own belt.

Have you read through all the other weight reducing threads out there?

and what are you Fabricating as part of this, since anything you remove from your car that weighs alot will be structural therefore not changable and remain legal.

Sam

As Chris said there are somne threads that discuss weight reduction. From memory there was a pretty good one middle of last year in the motorsport section.

the fixed back seats and the interior out shoudnt be a problem in W.A. Same for the A/C. If its neat and tidy and doesnt comprimise the vehciles it integrity should be ok.

    • Evening fam, Pretty much what the title asks, I have looked all over and can’t find a proper answer expect one post from almost a decade ago which is vague. ive seen photos and they look pretty much identical, would an r33 GTR N1 reo work on an r32? reason I ask is they are cheaper to buy… $700 compared to 1k+ for an r32 n1 reo

    • Yeah was thinking that. I've had the car go lower idle possibly around 650rpm every once in a long time after pouring fuel and would sound quite rough like a misfire, almost like it's shit fuel or something but who knows.
    • @Wazmond you are correct, my bad, was not my intent    https://www.facebook.com/share/15ZMn5oXtc/ Updated Event (so its not private and can be shared easier)  Attempting to coordinate a big push of Stagea's to this years GTR Festival. Great event last year and hoping for the same this year.    I've emailed them to ask to set a location aside for the Stageas for the show and shine - they are happy to do so if we can get them numbers, I'm happy to keep track of that. Entering as Nismo category.    I'll be road tripping up from Melbourne, would be cool to convey if people are interested, maybe there is SAU convoys from each capital? If you have ideas about that let me know.    https://gtrfestival.com.au
    • Just buy a bunch of covers off aliexpress, they're like $5 each. Rattle-can them and stick them on as needed/fly off.
