External Gate Gasket

hey guys.... i have noticed that on my high mount manifold..when pullin out the turbo.. that the external gate gasket from the manifold to the external gate is bung... and am ringing all over the shop and no one has this gasket...could n e body help me out with a gasket place in the S.E suburbs... thanx guys!!!... and just quickly... should there be a gasket inbetween the dump pipe and turbine... mine doesnt have one... should it??...

Preferably. Heard some people just cutting them out of the Al from coke cans

im not quite sure what u mean....but the joint from the turbine to the dumpipe (high mounted) its like 5 bolts circular and both surfaces just are smooothed over...almost looked machined uno... im just gonna make my own gasket from those sheets at repco.... how could it go wrong??!!

yeh best bet is to just make your own up, grab some of the black gasket goo while your there as well, liberal amounts of that and a gasket and it'll never leak

He means what brand is your external gate?

The gasket sheet at repco isn't exhaust gasket material so it will just burn off the instant it gets hot.

Black silicone is not temp rated high enough to put on a manifold. Plus it's not o2 sensor compatible so it will kill the sensor

get some gasket material from an exhaust shop.
