Victoria laws prohibit p-platers driving cars with a power to weight ratio over 150kw/ tonne..

Correct me if im wrong guys

the hsv vs senator has a 185kw 5.0 litre engine, and weighing 1633kg (for statistics click here) makes the power to weight 113kw per tonne (click here for power/weight calc).

therefore, this car is legal to P-platers before the no V8 rule came in.

aorry all but will ahve to correct u the power to weight ratio laws state it has to be 125kws to the ton how providing u got ur licence before 7-7-2007 after that date u are not to drive v8s turbo chraged or super charged vechals how ever this law is quickly worked around providing u are on ps before 1-7-2008 in witch case u can drive them once u hit green ps providing the car is not on the police black list of cars or over power to weight also another usful peice of info all cars wen pulled over have to be based on stock specs
