hey guys, after i wash my bonnet with car shampoo its all nice and shiny, but i was wondering if you can use something else to clean/polish it up?

i was thinking of MrSheen or something along those lines but not too sure if its ok to use it

any info would be great, gota get it schmick for the weekend (even though its gonna be raining :banana:

Yeah pretty sure most CF bonnets and parts are clear coated, ive seen you can get some dry carbon race stuff that has no coat, but no one hear would have any of that. Could probably use a standard cut and polish, like t-cut, and some good quality wax to protect it. As with all detailing test it on an inconspicuous area first.

do a search for clear gelcoat polish on google and see if you can get info on what you can use

i doubt many of these bonnets are painted clear - most dont even use a UV stable resin.

Really? So leaving them in the sun will turn them crumbly and yellow?
