I am sick of finding advertisements on the net for "CHEAP" Gtr R32 genuine bonnets when they all want around $500.

I mean if I buy it I will have to respray it because my Skyline is WRX STI blue so I am sure that will be $350 easy.

I know there are Carbon fibre bonnets that are around $700 to $1000 and well the legalities are not something I want to deal with so this leads me to my question.............

Has anyone cut the front lip off their R32 Gtst bonnet to make it look like a Gtr's???

Obviously air saw and not grinder, it just intrigues me that there should be people out there who would have given this a go.

Just interested to find out because I am really considering doing this.

Jarrod ( I am ready for the flaming if it were to occur )

you can cut it, and buy the N1 lip (or was it v-spec lip?) that goes over the front of the bonnet to cover it up. usually costs about $150. quite a common way of doing it... but you still have a heavy bonnet at the end of the day.

Mine is just like this, cut/shut. As bought. Pity the nasty bastard that did it left a real mess behind, can't see it with the lip on though...

Best thing is you don't need to buy a gtr catch, but the gtr grill will foul, but with a bit of a file you can create enough recess for the bonnet catch assembly to fit.
