good luck guys and have fun. Ill send some updates and expect some in return from Melbourne.

thanks for the nice words guys!! i hope it can put on a good show, of course along with everyone else!

i can wait to see it tearing the track up after all the work that has gone into it but as you know you cant garuantee anything when it comes to racing.

the first test went well, still have plenty more to work through but the bassis is there and we have a nice big list of things to do and if we get a quarter of those done before superlap i will be happy!! :P

i'm sorry to the guys that would like to see the car stay black (as so would i ) but there will be decals on it as we couldnt do it with out some help but hopefully should look good anyway.

we have tried to do everything we have learned and some new things from some people smarter than us , so we will see if it pays off.

cheers see you guys next week

fap fap fap fap..... say no more!!!

That is a pure piece of master craftsmanship worth of every blood sweat n tear resulted in its production...

Congrats fellas you truly have created a piece of fine fine fine machinery!!

most of it is. it's just been painted...

bonnet carbon

bumper and carnards carbon

front undertray FRP

front guards carbon

side skirts carbon

rear quarters carbon

rear pods carbon

boot lid carbon

wing carbon

doors carbon

the only real body work on the car that's not carbon as far as I can say off the top of my head is the roof. and come to think of it the bumper may be FRP too for strength and some durability. most of the interior is carbon too and the windows lexan. and all the carbon gear is the real deal. most of it was made in japan by composite experts, designed and built properly with all the right gear (autoclaved, vacuum bags etc). no half measures.

this thing needs chrome decals in nice fonts.... like the knight sports cars.. when will aussie workshops get cool logos and workshop names.... spose ill consider red r racing as a cool logo.

Here's some wallpaper resolutions:

HOLY F-ING SH!T!!!!!

When i first saw the picture of this i was like "mmm...looks ok...not sure tho" (baring in mind my mate sent me the pic on my phone so it was tiny)

Seeing this picture just scared the crap out of me!!! That's the devils car! It looks so evil...it looks like it will decimate everything on the track.

    • your right the maps for Australia came out in 2017 but are 2010 maps. i got the updated maps SD card put it in and it was the same. Same maps in my Brothers Nissan Patrol. 2020 i think his car is
    • Yeahhhh, the costs have killed me. Spent more than the cost of an engine rebuild and it most mostly servicing and a tune lol.
    • I'm not 100% how the BMW racers do it, but I know from other brands like Merc, moving, and changing the coolers is one of the things. Like getting a transcooler out from infront of the radiator to out near a wheel arch. So some of the stuff you've got crammed in the middle front, spread it out and open up where you can in the bar to get more air in to the sides.
    • Small update for the day... Turns out the intercooler and engine coolant hose kits are anything but complete....I probably should have counted better but it only really covers about half the coolant hoses in the car, it really just covers the visible stuff and pretends everything else doesn't exist (turbo water feed and returns and also heat exchanger lines through the 2 pumps and cooler) .In any case, I'm happier to have half reliable hoses than none, but a bit of a disappointment. Anyway...finger click (and 5 hours).....hoses in place, lots of spring clamps replaced with screw clamps, and engine coolant is on the pressure tester for the night.   Incidentally, upsized header tank is an Inifiniti factory option....not sure I'll ever do prod car racing in this but at least it is legal.
    • Just weld it onto the hot pipe. If you want it right after the turbo, put it right after the turbo. Or rip the comp cover off and drill and tap a hole into it.
