32 gtrs - 18 - 25k mostly some of the nicer modded ones are into the 30s but not many. 33 gtrs can be had for as little as 24k ranging up into the 30s and the 34 gtrs have dropped down to around 45 - 50k for a non v spec model. v specs are still getting sold from 50 - 60k and then theirs the modified 34s/nur specs etc that are 70k+

Thats what I'm seeing on Carsales.com.au anyway. Definetly a good time to be lookin at 32s there seems to be alot more later modeled ones around 93/94s that are very clean. I'm looking to buy one come the new year :) fingers crossed.

Giant have you got anymore pics of this beast would love to see some more :P

no more news!

mark has just finished moving house and i pushed my r35 in front for him to prepare for rally tas! so his machine gets to sit for awhile :D which he is not happy about.

so this is the r34 to date

post-17546-1219751795_thumb.jpg

if you need some where for it to sleep id be happy to give it a home for you for a while. got 200square meters of empty workshop i was thinking of leasing out. it can live with mine, although you get it back with a Chevy in it lol.

I was building mine with the intention of selling it, but know that its close to finished i dont think i could let anyone else have it. so the go-kart went on ebay instead.

yeah me too....you need to find some space and keep it. even once your fancy panys r34 and r35s are hooning around you will miss the antique feel of the vintage r32

dunc i have done f#@kall on the r34 , mark is a machine when he put his mind to it.

about the most i did was pull all the vinyl crap off the carbon boot , took about 6 hours! still got the bonnet to do:(

for some reason the japs had decided to vinyl sticker the body panels on the Tomei drag car instead of painting them.

She's lookin delicious Russ and Mark.

While I have you... I'm gonna grab some notes from Suncoast Classic Targa last year for our "leasurely drive" ok? Since you don't have anything sporty... I'm trying to finish some stuff off on the 32 if you wanna use that? I'll need Kel to do a re-tune though first.......

it should be a rocket Ben!

sounds great about the notes, i am happy to use your 32 if we can, thanks for the offer mate

i do have a road r32 but need to put the alternator back on it, only about a half hours work .

it's a beautiful car, i have only driven it about 500 kays in four years, rebuilt the engine too so could do with a run in!

yeah the r32 has gone to a new home! i love that car as you guys know lots of blood & sweat in it

the r34 is on the back burner until the r35 is complete in about a fortnight, which mark is not impressed about!

Its really gone? Oh no! Did it go to a queensland buyer or has it moved interstate? I bet you were sad to see it go

So the R34 hasnt changed at all since the last update in this thread? Ive really enjoyed reading this thread

Yep the 32 is really gone, gone to a really nice fella upnorth in Cairns, he will hopefully be doing the superlap series next year so the car will be around, mind you it will take him a while to get his head around it as he wont be driving it as often, i think with limited driving time it will take a while to be fast in it.

the r34 should kick off again reall soon and i'll post up some stuff then with the new bits and stuff.

    • I would paint match the whole thing to avoid unwanted attention  I had a similar bonnet, paint matched, on my old R33 GTST, but mine was a fibreglass jobbie made by Blitz in QLD, they work extremely well for radiator efficiency and under bonnet temps
    • Does anyone run this kit with factory plenum? Does the adapter and bosch tb fit under factory strut brace? I wanted to get this setup before going forward facing manifold. Thanks
    • small update time, after always wanting a "cool" looking bonnet for my car and always struggling to find one for the series 2 that i liked and wasn't an insane amount of money. Saw one i liked on RHDjapan from D-speed in Japan the price was very good for a carbon bonnet so good infact i was a little unsure how much i trusted it, decided to bite the bullet and with the help of jesse streeter in not long at all it was at my door. Once it was delivered i ran in from work and quickly unboxed it and to my surprise the quality was actually pretty good i quickly removed the old bonnet and placed on the new one to test it out and even the fitment wasnt too bad at all. Then decided to paint the little grille in the bonnet black to stop it sticking out so much.   I decided to not mess around with the hood latch and just install some aero catch hood pins, having never installed them before did some YouTube university classes and i was good to go. fair to say it is not a fun job at all from making brackets so the pins sit nicely and actually cutting through the bonnet but also being very scared of cutting the holes too big it took wayyyy longer than i would like to admit but finally got it there. Then it was time for a quick test drive to ensure the latches actually worked and thankfully the bonnet looked very stable. I still think paint matching the bonnet and leaving just the part that sticks up as carbon would help make it all look alot neater as im not sure how i feel about all that carbon on a very fridge white car but will leave it as is and see how i feel with time.
    • I think it's bound to happen, you finally get it all perfect, and bam, something will happen. I took a while to get a Commodore rear quarter repaired where a P Plater clipped it. Two days after getting it back, Sarah wiped it out on a concrete pillar in an underground car park... This is why I take forever to repair them, it stretches how long until it gets bent again... 😛
    • Nah, not really responsible for that little fiasco, but I'm still pissed at myself for writing off my 86, or when I reversed my VX into a pole just before selling it, but, meh, 5hit happens to stuff, all it takes is a slight distraction, and life is full of distractions, and "dooh" moments
