FYI - Response from Haltech Sales this morning...

Hi There,

I don't know where you heard that we were having problems with our ECUs for the R32,I can assure you that is NOT the case.

Edited by GeeTR
I didn't mean to get anything started. I just wanted to know the ups and downs of both systems. I talked to my local Haltech dealer/tuner; they said they were not aware of any recall on the e11v2.

I would like to get a power fc but I will not pay $1200 US or more for a used unit! Then you have to get the software and it's about $250US. So I'm looking at the least $1450US for a used Power FC. That to me is just too much. I can get a NEW E11v2 with the software and the plug and play harness for around the same price.

Now I know people are saying that you can get a new Power FC at different times as Apexi is releasing them a few at a time. I have contacted EVERY Apexi dealer that I can find in the states and they ALL tell me the same thing, they "might" get some in but they're not sure when. I "might" get one if I want to pay for it now and be put on a list and wait 4-6 months. That's nuts!

So I guess my decision has been made for me buy Apexi! From what I understand they are having some issue with their manufacture and are trying to find a different one. I can't believe a company as big as Apexi would be having such an issue with this and with their finances.

that is how it is, Apexia the parent company of apexi was at the state of being declared bankrupt late last year. they are working back now but alot of there high end products are now hard to get ahold of. i was gonna go a PFC for my R34 but the thing is i can not get a hold of a new one because of that problem (similar problem to yours) as for the two systems they are much for muchness the simplicity and tune ability of the PFC. or the slightly more difficult to install and tune e11v2 which does have a few small things over the PFC ( but your not the one tuning it so doesn't matter) either way neither unit is bad. to prove the PFC anyway, i have a mate with a S13 SR20DET with a PFC not a problem and with 398rwkw last i saw it on a dyno it speaks for it's shelf. but to hard to get a hold of these days so enough said :)

^^^ ive been buying PFC from steve at access in melb http://www.accessauto.com.au/ as they ALWAYS have stock (no r33 though) other guys keep you waiting for ages claiming no-one has any stock.... genuine dealers have pretty good stock though as they are considered priority.

    • How much is it to re-uploster?  Well that's a "how longs a piece of string?" question !  And I answer thusly: "twice half its length! " . . . . . .  Seriously you'll have to chase multiple quotes for that one from different uphlostrerereres !  Ask around, in your area and on the forums, chase reviews and most of all see the finished product in person cause photoshop is a wonderful thing !
    • Hey everyone!!  I've noticed that whenever I do my oil changes, after putting 4L in, the oil level sits at the top mark in the dipstick. This is after letting the old oil drain for a very long time too! I've checked the oil level daily for the past few mornings. It happens every time and it's confusing because all the threads say that it should take about 4.7L (With some just adding the full 5L) My next thought is to figure out if the dipstick I have is correct so could someone please tell me the length of the RB25DET engine oil dipstick?  I've checked images of some of the genuine dipsticks, but none of them have the length in it. https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-engine-oil-level-dipstick-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-stagea-c35-laurel-y34-cedric-gloria-rb25de-t-neo?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOortQXofgmiHVRKuIaiKuygL4k0Ewp68c3isGZk0vvKOJ7Yqf3iB However.... the engraving on the genuine ones say 05002 while mine says AA000. This makes me believe that maybe I have a wrong dipstick? I just want to confirm before I buy a new one. The car is a fresh import from Japan so I don't have details of the previous owner to ask him. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾
    • Sport. I didn’t rebleed it cause I just removed the slave and left connected.    I will change line and slave and see how it goes.
    • Oh and how is the rattle when foot is on the clutch ?
    • Did you get the sport or track ? From what the documentation says the uniclutch has a small amount of movement to disengage.  So your story of tricky pedal setup seems common.    Hopefully you got it bled up too, as the bite point moving around is usually either plates wearing in or air in the line.
