My god. Say what you mean, mean what you say and dont be mean saying it. Ppl are makign valid comments in this thread but seems people are cruising for an argument and from there it has lost the plot.

Ok lets get back to the turbo comparison..

Ive seen great things from the GT-RS turbo but i must say that the GT2835 has a slightly larger compressor wheel (correct me if im wrong, but thats what i seen last.. ) which will give it a larger amount of airflow for the same boost pressures so long as its in its efficiency range

That just took me 20 bloody minutes to clean up.

Bumblebee I think the superior turbine/housing (gas flow wise) has more to offer than the trim size difference ie 52 vs 56 compressor trims . Also the GT-RS (2871R 52T) is a dead end as in there are no larger housings to put it in if you find it restrictive . Stupidly HKS never had the 0.86 version of the GT28 turbine housing made with the T3 flange .

At least with the 2835 Pro S you have two sizes to play with though virtually everyone who got the smaller one regretted it later on an RB25 .

At the end of the day its your money and your call , if it was me and cost was not a problem it would be the 2835 Pro in the 0.87 housing . If you were really worried about lag you could get the 0.68 housing , its still a larger ratio than the GT-RS's 0.64 but its in a GT30 based housing not a GT28 based one . The waste gate and dump design is far superior IMO to the GT28 type and that's what costs more to make .

sorry to revive an old thread but I've been through this dilemma recently and thought I would post the results... I decided on the HKS 2835 Pro S with the 0.68 housing (came with the kit so thought I would try it out first)

results were 244rwkw @ 13psi... clutch would not hold anymore power on the dyno... I can post a dyno chart if anybody is interested... mods are in the RB25 turbo upgrade sticky... turbo comes on a little later than the stock but this just makes it easier to putt around off boost... when you want the power its all there well before 4000rpm... I definately wouldn't desribe it as laggy... I'm VERY happy with the results, none of the whooshing sounds of the stocker either, just a jet like whine as it spools

can't wait to shove 20psi down its throat:)

yeah it has awesome responce! man, Ive jsut read 3 threads now on these turbo's (GTRS and 2835) and now I wanna go for a drive lol!! But car is sleeping for superlap!
