NickR33
You simply can not compare apples with oranges, it defies & contradicts with Murphys Laws no matter which along you look at it from. Mustang has a prolonged history, it has become a cult car that is well known for its sheer power, grunt & muscle car statues. Mustang is a car that can retain and over periods raises its value once it becomes a classic. On the other hand, GTR's are handed over to toy boy racers and raped over with fiber glass add ons by 20yr old kids.. first of all the base model Mustang is a 6 not an 8 (as it was when they first came out)... and the Mustang was originally known as a girls car, cheap and good looking (not particularily fast) a hairdressers car of the time if you like... and they built a buttload of them... not very well either, they were very cheap it wasn't until Carol Shelby chucked a big 8 in and whacked a bodykit on it that it got any sort of muscle car credibility... just like the GTR was created from the base model Skyline... a souped up family car if you will, just like the Mustang... so an old 60's or 70's GTR isn't a sought after classic? haven't raised in value over time? NickR33
Precisely.. then again, it was you who was comparing both wasn't it? I think it's fair to say GTR's will be dumped away to the scrap yard without any value or significance where as a Mustang will be stored away to be refurbished within 30 years time.. One will always been viewed as a Japanese car and the latter will continue to retain its cult car status you can't be serious... you would cringe at the price many old school GTR's command today... let alone a modern GTR with a racing pedigree like the Aussie GMS cars... $$$ right there There won't be any Mustangs around in 30 years... they will have all rusted hehe Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/205352-it-makes-you-want-to-buy-a-mustang/page/3/#findComment-3637299 Share on other sites

West
Mustangs are junks in the States and so are Camaro's, almost every Mexican kid owns a Camaro and every yankee owns a Mustang when they first have their driving license. I didnt say anything negative about the Mustang, I was just refering to the Yanks how they praise it and guess kinda got side tracked about GTR vs Mustang. Pretty much intierly different cars.
