  • 4 weeks later...

no only 2wd dyno....

but can very easily tune gtr's etc by pulling out the front drive shaft

most places will be anywhere from 100-150 per hour on a dyno, but u gotta remember, is it worth being a stingy tight ass and save 50 and have ya car run like crap or blow up????

no1 rule, always do things properley, cos youl end up havin to fix the cheap crap and end up spending more anywayz...

sam knows his stuff....take it down and talk to him...they r not out to 'sting' any1, they r all good guys down there

Just a quick question about Dyno tuning.....

I have an R33 GTST S2. If I got my unit tuned what do they actually tune? My understanding is that the R33 ECU unlike R32 and R34 is not open to modifications.

So on the dyno what can be done with my car, I am confident that the Factory ECU is set to run very rich, you can smell it!

Do I need a piggy back computer before getting on the dyno or can it be tuned reasonably without the addition of an aftermarket computer?

I am not looking for a 10 second drag car just want the thing running at its optimum.

Ideas anyone?

Well the whole reason im looking to get it tuned is basically just to see what sorta power its producing at the wheels and also just to make sure everything you mentioned as in timing, etc.. is all good.

Davepro perfromance will probably do all that for me so i will probably just end up going in for a power run.
