Hi

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about apexi turbo's. as i have just bought a R34 with one in it. (I think its a AX53) going to have a good look at it in the next couple of days. i was wondering what sort of boost i could run ( Max and Nice).

Cheers

what sort of power figure you making?

My car is a awd neo stagea

power fc, type B tomie cams, inj, etc

249hp at all four

Was having boost issues drops back to 12.5psi

need to get it sorted and run 17-18

Turbo only rated at 380ps, so it will not produse big numbers like some hiflows etc.

Curently thinking about changing the turbo for more power, esp when the stagea weighs 1650kg's

Has great midrange

Some people have made 240-250rwkw's

I had an Apexi AX53B70 P25 on mine Made 250rwkw at 16 or 17psi (cant remember now) I eventually broke the shaft due to an impeller inbalance. That was a damn fun turbo but so responsive! I would say 18 psi as a max due to the ceramic exhaust wheel (and it defienately is i have the destroyed turbo of mine sitting on my desk as a book end lol) Apexis are famous for not liking being over sped
