Hehehe, I've had a quick run with a GTS.

It was a rolling start from about 20km/h to 140km/h.

There was nothing in it upto about 110km/h then I was just (and I mean JUST) pulling away.

I was totally shocked as was the bloke in the GTS :D

At that stage I had a turbo back 3 inch exhaust, 12psi boost, and a pod with CAI !!

Oh - I've got a 1995 GTS-t.

Not bad for a car that is about 1/4 the cost ;)

J

The Hsv r very crappy cars, they weight too much and dont have enough power holden really need to get them right. GTS-t should be able to hold them with not alot of mods.

The ls1 350 r around 300hp (if i remember right) they should be Mid 13second 1/4mile but they never are more like mid 14, so GTs should hold it and GTR should take it

All depends on drive, weather condition but the skyline should have the upper hand

Yepp just. When I say just I mean about half a bonnet length !! So there really wasn't anything in it.

The GTS's are very heavy. Something like 1680kg's (someone correct me if I'm wrong here), compared to the GTS-t's at about 1380kg's.

You mean it'd win if it's against a standard GT-R...

If on the other hand, the GT-R is modded with Japanese parts, it's shit over the GTS.

no they arent drag slicks car, they r street vette with street tyres. i was just saying if a kit like that was add to a hsv gts it would beat a gtr easy but then again a mod gtr is hard to beat (i have seen some really nice mod R_34)

If i remember right The 8second vette with the trubo kit had street typers (or maybe it was the 9 second)

again just tring to prove a point not up for other flame war

yes all that can be done no doubt with even street tyres i still believe you, but yes these kits cost money, and these cars are set up for drag racing with solis rear ends and usually mini tubs, (not all some) the most basic superchargers kit and all the essentials on a ls1 sets you back say 8g, spend that same 8g on a new r34gtr (apples for apples both new cars) and i bet the gtr wins again and i dont care if they are jap, german, english or aus parts...... Also dont forget there is about 30-40GTR's in japan that run low nines or 8's with street tyres... Not bagging the gts had one for a while there well dad did but, c'mon this thread is ridiculous its apples n oranges chalk n cheese one is a purpose built performance vechicle and one is a performance vechicle made from a purpose built fleet car, both have strong and week points but no need to have stupid arguements and prove you wrongs about them..
