Spotted last night on the way home: R33 series I black with black wheels embarrassing an XR8 driver, Pretty tidy R33 Series II in white with black wheels following, then me following the white car up Main North Rd. Poor Ford driver :)

Just spotted nightcrawler about half an hour ago at a BP along lower north east. Noticed the matte black front bumper and thought yeap thats nightcrawler.

If it was a wagon, it'd be me! :)

Spotted some gay darth vader bodykitted white Siliva tailgating me, desperately trying to get past me on South Terrace this morning. :)

Ah it was you Jarrad, thought those plates looked familiar! No definately not a mate of mine, felt sorry for the poor bugger though, pretty sure it was a write off

Spotted a Black r33 at Reynella at about 12:10.

Also spotted a Burgundy and a White R33 on south road at about 5:55 this arvo, just outside aldinga.

spotted a black r33 ,maybe a GTR to far way to tell on commercial rd noarlunga about 730ish

spotted a white R33 with black center wheels at caltex noarlunga,,,, fail :( and they wonder why they get broken ring lands with that fuel..lol

stupid P plater in a thrashed pulsar trying to race me off the lights about a block from a cop.. smart..?????

spotted the cops pulling a plethora of cars over between seafod and noarlunga tonight, all marked cars

That was me, thought your GTR looked familiar, made mine look terrible with my one tail light LOL (quoted today, hopefully have all 4 working in the next week)... Very nice GTR you have. Oh and i wasnt trying to 'egg u on' at the lights (south, marion and flagstaff hill roads) by going backwards and forwards, wasnt really paying attention to my clutch/accelerater combination lol but as i said, tuff looking car :D

Also helso, didnt get much of a look at your car but from what i did see it looks very tuff, love the red neon in the back. And yeah, looked like a fair bit of damage to the front of the wrx, feel sorry for the guy.

Spotted my favourite R33 with a GTR badge slapped on it on the boot, on Genfell street this morning... the GTR badge isn't even in the proper position! It's closer to the boot lip.

Has a huge HKS sticker just above the exhaust but wait... it's now for sale!! Don't go rushing to the banks too quickly now.

      Yes. This engine cost a very large amount of money to build. It's a Frankenstein necessitating lots of custom parts and lots of fabrication and fettling to get things like big ends to clear the bottom of the bore, etc etc. The rods and bolts were supplied by the owner. Hence why the rods were Chinesium. Some lessons need to be learned the (very, very) hard way, apparently. I was aware of the stories going back about that far as well. I just wanted to see if the reality was as bad as the fear.

      Heaps of historical info on this, a quick Google gave dates back to 2012, all talk about identification markings, dimples, shapes of mounting surfaces, washers, that are concave or something to match the fasteners mounting surface, which ARP states that if the washer, if it uses a washer in its application, isn't the right way around, it can cause premature failure,  even if it was torqued up correctly with whatever lube is meant to be used There is even talk about getting the bolts Xrayed to check the structure, one was about some builder getting multiple sets of bolts, having them Xrayed, and picking from those results Nowadays identical "looking" fake parts, in identical looking fake packaging are everywhere, with all the markings and stuff, the only way you know they are not legit is Xray or when they fail I assume if you don't want fake parts, and don't have a Xray machine handy, is to get them directly from ARP in the USofA, aftermarket rod and head bolts aren't something to take for granted  Imagine building a big dollar build only to find you lunch it because of an inferior fake fixture let go 😫
