just spotted Kye & Lauren at the Shell near colonnades picking up a trailer? u taking the silvia out? hopefully see it out there when i get there!

:blink: yeah was out there last night and broke the sil :blink: but still had heaps of fun trying to handbrake into turn 1 at my goal of 130kmh but found out that its got a dodgy handbrake haha

also while i was there i saw luke with krishy, matty t and flick taking pics

Friend of mine had the same thing happen to his 31 last week or so. Just goes to show the skum running around adelaide these days.

Spotted Grey/ Silver 31 Silo blazing around Blackwood last week & a Black 33 heading off waymouth street couple of days ago

nice nickname choice :blink:

saw a couple of 33s and 32 gtr on the street machine association cruise last night. aswell as RRS 004 white stagea.

spotted a bogan chic with her kid in a white VR Commodore sedan yesterday at the Dyno Day.

She drove past, stopped just up the road, did a U-turn and let the open wheeler rip.......gave us all the bird as she drove past again.....ROR

Spotted a nice clean 32GTR at the Village this arvo, nice and tidy

haha, well lets just saw turn one doesnt like me as much i dont like it.

2 of the pics with the battery triangle showing, shows you what the wheels meant to look like the others is of the broken one haha

got abit air born on the inside ripple and did this. got it on film too :)

spotted silver 32gtr near ttp looking outragously clean for a rainy day :banana: just had normal plates ending in 47

yea i think i spotted the same GTR on ladywood rd at about 4pm

also saw a white 34 at the intersection of NE rd and Grand Junction not long after

this morning on the way to work

spotted petes GTR ( nah just kidding ya pete) spotted a black 34GTR looked awesome

and a silver 33....looked clean

Saw a few lines in town yesterday. 32 GtR near hj's , dark silver 34 on pultney and a 33 somewhere in the mix

      Yes. This engine cost a very large amount of money to build. It's a Frankenstein necessitating lots of custom parts and lots of fabrication and fettling to get things like big ends to clear the bottom of the bore, etc etc. The rods and bolts were supplied by the owner. Hence why the rods were Chinesium. Some lessons need to be learned the (very, very) hard way, apparently. I was aware of the stories going back about that far as well. I just wanted to see if the reality was as bad as the fear.

      Heaps of historical info on this, a quick Google gave dates back to 2012, all talk about identification markings, dimples, shapes of mounting surfaces, washers, that are concave or something to match the fasteners mounting surface, which ARP states that if the washer, if it uses a washer in its application, isn't the right way around, it can cause premature failure,  even if it was torqued up correctly with whatever lube is meant to be used There is even talk about getting the bolts Xrayed to check the structure, one was about some builder getting multiple sets of bolts, having them Xrayed, and picking from those results Nowadays identical "looking" fake parts, in identical looking fake packaging are everywhere, with all the markings and stuff, the only way you know they are not legit is Xray or when they fail I assume if you don't want fake parts, and don't have a Xray machine handy, is to get them directly from ARP in the USofA, aftermarket rod and head bolts aren't something to take for granted  Imagine building a big dollar build only to find you lunch it because of an inferior fake fixture let go 😫
