Spotted 'dare ya' going thru coromandel valley this arvo at 3.40, gives a thumbs up, i was on the harley

and spotted RSV-004 coming out of a street on blacks road shortly after.

last night at elizabeth shops at about 8.30 or so, i seen a r34 gtr, dark blue in colour, seen a blue 32 with the plates being 'sxy 032' i think.! and alos another blue r34..

i think they were all blue, it was dark so i didnt see properly, ha

Spotted the DOHMAR beast out the front of its owner's place around 3pm this arvo - what were you doing home from work you slacker? I gave a few beeps as I flew past - not sure if you would have heard me or not .... reminds me I need to get and fit some triple air horns to the 35 :D

nah didnt hear ya. had an RDO planned cause Im most likely working next weekend on a server migration

i too need horns, mines f**ked. horn button and relay tested out ok so I want something LOUD cause I only ever use my horn in anger

triple air horns you say? got url? what u doing after work this week? would love to test ur ipod transmitter

oh you live actually on elizebeth road? i live just off it near the xpressway.. thats why im always around the area lol

nah wouldnt be mine up seaford parked, i wouldnt park it anywhere on south road down south for the fear of it not being there for that long :ninja:

thanks bud, like you mentioned it is standard height and well fairly stock but that will all change in the future.

Keep seeing a white 33 with white starcorp impuls either in the maccas junkfood corner or just around from my place, very noice looking :P

Also stolen-gtr, whats Simon driving these days do you know? (the guy you baught the 33 from) (guessing you baught the car from him LOL)

      Aren't these run off of high voltage in OEM applications? Like 200+V. Or at least 48V in mild hybrids. At ~18,000 BTU ballpark nominal capacity the power draw is at what, 2.2 kW? ~185A is a pretty crazy amount of amps. At 200V it's only 11A. The 70A nominal kits with up to 100A peak draw I see for stuff like classic Porsches have pretty substantial compromises like shutting off at idle and not actually managing to keep the interior cool in hot conditions because they can only output like 6000 BTU. IMO if I had to pick what high amp draw component to retrofit to these cars I would start with the engine fan, not the AC compressor. You need an ~850-1000W brushless fan, something like this: I would love to see the data but I would bet that whatever you save by running the AC compressor in a more efficient regime with an electric motor you're probably losing to conversion losses anyways. It's not really like a clutch fan where you're losing power all the time even when it's nominally disengaged and it gets worse as it engages because the envelope tracking isn't that precise.

      I'm wondering is the Toyota and Mazda "collaboration" could see that new Toyota ???G20 ??? turbo engine that they have been showing off recently into a future MX5, apparently it's good for 400hp out of the box That could easily, possibly, be much better than the last collaboration between Toyota and Subaru with the boxer engine in the twins
