spotted a grey 34 four door in kings green estate, woodcroft with ( i think ) avs 6 spoke rims... looked clean... also had an old friend come up to my mates shed the other night.. his son was driving a white 34GTR with the plates "34 GTR" .sooooo sexy... sounded sooo nice on boost too

Spotted tonight while cruising Gorge Road/Chain Of Ponds: Very tough sounding black 33 near the Williamstown turn off, and a black 32 gts following me for a short period until I turned off at paracombe..

A black 32 with LED tail lights (looks like he has personalised plates but cant make them out) on gorge road a few times, then a few times through chain of ponds...

Also a few others but cant remember them..

Spotted a dark coloured 32 being closly followed by a silver? 34 4dr, through chain of ponds..

A black 32 GTR with gold rims cant remember where, was heading south on Unley road, or fullarton road...

A black 33 with plates R33, huge zorst on it is, only part that caught my eye..

All seen last night between 8.30 and 12.

Had a some dude in a black s2 r33 trying to race me on south rd from the express way exit in hackem all the way to till I turned off in in near junk food corner.

Had that charity cruise ribbon on his car. Wasn't the smartest thing to try to do with the amount of cops around today man!

Spotted KB-R33 on martins road near hollywood plaza today roughly at 2:15pm....waved and got a wave back

he obviously thought it was a race ribbon

or one of those defect free ones

spotted "MSTR34" as you was leaving your gf's house, was in white camry as went round big roundabout

Ah that was you. :D You change cars like you change your underwear lol. I looked across to see if i knew who it was and didnt ever realise it was you.

    • Aren't these run off of high voltage in OEM applications? Like 200+V. Or at least 48V in mild hybrids. At ~18,000 BTU ballpark nominal capacity the power draw is at what, 2.2 kW? ~185A is a pretty crazy amount of amps. At 200V it's only 11A. The 70A nominal kits with up to 100A peak draw I see for stuff like classic Porsches have pretty substantial compromises like shutting off at idle and not actually managing to keep the interior cool in hot conditions because they can only output like 6000 BTU. IMO if I had to pick what high amp draw component to retrofit to these cars I would start with the engine fan, not the AC compressor. You need an ~850-1000W brushless fan, something like this: I would love to see the data but I would bet that whatever you save by running the AC compressor in a more efficient regime with an electric motor you're probably losing to conversion losses anyways. It's not really like a clutch fan where you're losing power all the time even when it's nominally disengaged and it gets worse as it engages because the envelope tracking isn't that precise.

    • I'm wondering is the Toyota and Mazda "collaboration" could see that new Toyota ???G20 ??? turbo engine that they have been showing off recently into a future MX5, apparently it's good for 400hp out of the box That could easily, possibly, be much better than the last collaboration between Toyota and Subaru with the boxer engine in the twins
