come accross this adjustable chip on ebay (D-Boos)t designed to increase power by 25HP. iv been told alot of chips designed to increase power etc. are just rubbish...

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/25HP-D-BOOST-PERFOR...1QQcmdZViewItem

has anyone had any experience with having these fitted to a vehicle?

do the dyno tests show an increase of power?

what brands are proven to be the real deal, and what have been proven to be a real rip off!

any info will be great.

cheers 4drftn

The link doesn't work, but I think I know what you're talking about. All I can say is that it's a full of shit. I haven't tried it myself, but just don't believe you can get that much power from a little cheap device.

Mate if its the chip im thinking of its not a chip but a resistor. You can get them from Dick Smith for 20c. Then you fit it to the connection of your airbox and reset ur ECU. Appartentley it adjust ur airflow and fuel ratio and ur ECU advances ur timing. Giving you the extra power. I have heard they work but i dont know about 25hp gains.

All it does is change the voltage going to the ecu from your air temperature sensor, making it think that it's a lower temperature and advance the timing as such. Very dangerous!

to the thread starter. if ur goin to listen to any advice on this topic...listen to this....

couldnt have been summed up better!

No. if u could "tune" ur ecu, then y would u bother fking around with those shitty resistors?

U want proper results, either remapped ur own ecu or get something like a PFC
