My older brother (22) has just sold his sil-eighty and is now looking for a decent car to buy.

He Does'nt have an account here so Im posting this for him, Basically his choices are as follows:

1989 R32 GTS-T Skyline

1989 300ZX TT

1989 RX7 Infini

That said can someone tell me the difference between the Infini and the normal RX7's ?

I belive he is leaning towards the 300ZX TT, he likes the look of it and the Twin Turbos help his decision :D

Anyways what do you think ?

About the '89 FC's...

The '89 GT-X had 185ps standard, 15in alloy wheels, electric mirrors, an LSD... shit like that, not so special.

The '89 Infini III was based on the GT-X, with the addition of BBS alloys, Momo steering wheel and gear knob, power-up to 215ps and 28kg/m torque, a front strut-tower bar (strut brace? can't remember wot you lot call 'em!!) and more shapely bucket seats. Definite pick of the FC range if you can get one.

People have said that the TT is hard to work on, because of the crampt engine bay. That said my mate has a TT and he reckons its not too bad. But like Waz said, appearances count for alot; if you like the look, then that may be enough.

Were'nt the 2-seaters 1520(MT) 1530kgs(AT), and the 2by2's 1550(MT) 1570kgs(AT)?

1800kgs is Commodore territory...

I got those figures from the factory catalogue dude

I'd put my money on the 300ZX TT in a straight line against a GTS-T...

he's trying to post asciii porn..

Personally I don't like the looks of the 300zx anymore. I think i once did. The VQ30DETT can be made to go very hard, but it is kinda heavy and probably bit boat like in the handling..

I'd just go the 89 R32 GTS-T as mods and things should work out a bit cheaper, and the knowledge base is larger for skylines probably.. but be careful a bit of the 89 vehicles.

My rec is to stay clear of the Rx7.. rotaries can have lots of problems, especially if they're getting on a bit in age.
