Hey,

Lately (more so than ever) I have noticed my nock sensor on the Apexi power FC has been going through the roof if I accelerate in like 5th. It jumped up to 133 the other day on the freeway. I nearly spat chips.

I can go as nuts as I like and the nock never really gets over 30 but if I try take off in second (say you were just about to pull up and the lights turn green) and give it some gas, sure enough the nock goes f**ken crazy.

My odo is at around 94k so I'm thinking she may need a 100k service a bit earlier. Obviously a bit much stress on the engne.

Any ideas?

Higher gear means more load. Unlike some ppl who can get incorrect knock readings from dodgey senders or noisy setups, you are most likely experiencing the real deal.

130 is bad btw - don't hit it, and get it checked ASAP

Yeah bad ha! The time it hit 130 or so was on the free way and I accelerated in 5th from 80 to boost. I shouldv'e changed down first.

I dropped the oil and changed the filter which has done her a treat. She has not gone over 25 now and thats over a 2 hour drive. I'm going to get her re-tuned in the next few days. $ just been a bit tight which sux. Not to mention the missus who's cracking it over the neglect on her civic while all the $ pour into the skyline. eh i'm like a drug addict. lol

cheers for the advice.
