Paul the local nissan dealer is great when you need parts. The girl there in the parts department knows her stuff, she'll find you anything you need to know.

For anything suspension wise, I'd recommend going up to WA Suspension in Ossy Park, R_Dirty_3 on the forums here works there so any questions, aim them his way :ninja:

And there is a 'workshop' thread in the WA section on these forums for places that have been recommended by skyline owners.

It is very likely you can get local alternatives too. I know they are available for 32 gtr and 33 gtst about 1/3 the price of nissan.

BTW I found in both cars I looked at that it is the inner part of the tie rod that wears (nylon joint) not the outer ball joint. So you might want to consider doing both inner and outer

Thanks for this info! I was rotating my tires last weekend and found my left wheel wobbling - Tie-rod end badly worn (don't know how it got a road worthy!) Jumped on the forum and after a bit of reading, decided to go genuine (read the story about taper diameters and lengths being different on alternatives). Called the local Nissan dealer and gave them the part # above. They called back 2 hours later and said they have it ready to pickup! I was expecting a 2 week wait and got a 2 hour wait instead! I am blown away by Nissan's support for a model that was never even sold here.

It cost $93. Out of interest, I also called Nissan parts in Japan - same part from Nissan Japan is 6300yen - which converted to almost exactly $93 on that day - coincidence??
