Not sure where i am going for compliance - i was going to ask for recommendations on who did some of yours. If you know of anyone who will do a good job that would be excellent if you could let me know.

Ryan i ended up getting the car for just under 1.5mil.

Its big and black and fast and oh how well will it HANDLE omg.... coilovers and brembos... i wonder what width tyre i can run under it.

FIRST MODS - clear front and side indicators! orange on black looks so bad... Then a decent, flowing cat-back exhaust.

you have NO IDEA how excitied i am... Actually, you probably do!

Looks nice dude, i finally got mine on the road last week and I am very happy with it, mine was stock but I am starting to get a list of stuff together. Good luck with it all, i saw your in Queensland i can recommend somewhere in Sydney???????

I would be booking in a workshop ASAP before it gets on the boat. I used IAMSHE on the Gold Coast for my Stagea......They were ok but had a couple of small dramas with some of their work that they'd done on the car. Nevertheless car was quick through the shop and on the road as promised.

IAMSHE are doing mine, Heard the pretty good, quick and do a OK job. When it finally gets there. Still waiting on panel beater then goes to the mechanic. And yeah the wait is absolutley killing me. I baught a bomb of a crapadore to drive whilst im waiting and im f#@king over it. LOL

Wheres the fast foward button??

Vote IAMSHE

Looks good, first upgrade series 2 tail lights

Has it been resprayed, series 1 never came out in black from factory?

Must be a fairly good job being grade 4

Pretty sure you could get the 260RS in black S1, but not RSfour etc. Ive seen a fair few black S1 260RS's while we were searching for this one, but none in as good a condition.

If so own one of a few original black, 5spd manual S1's haha...

Might give IAMSHE a call. Anyone got contact details....??

I might get S2 taillights, but will probably just tint the indicators on the factory ones - to suit the dark paint.

Got 50 photos of the car sent to me - will post up after work.

PICS UP in first post!

Looks awesome! Engine bay looks pretty clean, can't see any paint missing off plenum chamber... maybe a few specks... might be genuine k's

Soooo, I get first guess at the 'mystery box'... Damper adjustment?

or maybe a toll counter for the toll roads? My RS Four's got one (says "Toyota" on there lol)

Is genuine k's. The interior of the car has no wear and tear at all (ie steering wheel, seats, gear shifter and handbrake, carpet, all like new) Plus has full service records etc.

Might be a damper adjustment for the coilovers... not sure.

congrats on the new purchase matey.

the "mystery box" is a PIVOT SPEED METER, you can just make it out if you look hard enough in the right hand lower corner of its screen.

essentially it is a fuel cut defender with a few other nifty functions such as, highest achieved speed for that drive session as well as 100,200,300 and 400 metre times if you want to set it up for runs down the strip, it also does an average speed as well as real time accurate speed display on the screen, which according to the dyno is closer to actual road speed than the OEM speedo, and couple of other things too.

i have one in my S2 and its a nifty little gadget that scared the bejeebus out of my old man when he took it for a spin on our private test strip, he was concentrating on the factory speedo and when it ran out i told him to look down at the other one mounted on top of the column.

he immediately buttoned off as he thought we were doin 180 but were doing 245 on the little box with 1500rpm to go till hit the red.

Oh excellent!

Thats pretty scary but ok! And this was in an RSFour-S - the 5 speed manual... Definately looking for to stretching the cars legs!

    • I would not be surprised if you are the only person on earth that has the interest/desire to do that lol.  The Haltech base map is a really good starting point, the car will fire easily and drive very well, even on mild boost levels. To me, following your advice sounds like some sort of ancient Chinese water torcher lol (this is not an insult Josh, never change <3)
    • Those car show concepts from the 2000's and 2010's like the Floria and IDx were brilliant and should've gone ahead, at least one of them. But neither Honda nor Nissan are thinking about affordable performance any more, which is truly sad.  Even if Toyota's liquid hydrogen ICE development reaches the point where it's commercially viable and the infrastructure to support it, Honda/Nissan would have to wait until Toyota allow fee access to their patents to offer it with any smaller performance models they released to take advantage of it.
    • A sporty manual RWD coupe with a IL4 Honda engine would only be a good thing I assume we won't see anything released for a few years though, unless informal talks and designs have been going on for a few years,  and due to the current, and future, emmisions and safety requirements, I assume anything "sporty" they would do would be at least some hybrid thingie And hopefully anything they are thinking of has nice lines, without lots of plastic and fake bits hanging off it like that horrendous FK8 that looked like it was designed by a 13 year old The other issue of course in the current market is cost, currently the type R is around $70k, a twin is around $50k Meh, I'm old and grumpy and would rather buy a older model car and waste my coin on that than buying anything currently available new
